Intro, Outro, Bumper, Logo Sting

Have you ever wondered how to add something snazzy with your logo to the beginning of your small business marketing video, but didn’t know how to do it?

You may hear them referred to as a video intro, outro, bumper or even a logo sting.  Your video doesn’t really need one, but lots of people like to add them for a more professional look to their video.

You can hire someone to do it for you, just keep in mind to make sure a copyrighted template isn’t used.

Before you start, make sure your dogs and cats know you are recording and have them keep quiet! 🤣

DIY Video Intro Tutorial

I like to do something simple like turning images into a GIF that can be used as your intro.  You can use any image software or app, I love Canva, because I’m used to using it every day.

Create your images.  If you are doing a spinning logo, simply rotate your logo and download copies of it. Make sure you number the images in order!

If you are doing a logo that gets larger, you’ll do the same thing, but instead of rotating them, you will make the logo larger.

Once your images are ready, go to MakeAGif.com and create a free account.  You want to “Pictures to GIF” and upload your images and put them in order.  Next click Continue and you can then make your GIF move faster or slower!

I like to set mine to “Private”, but you don’t have to.  Make sure that you change from GIF to MP4 and download.

Some video editing software wants an MP4 and not a GIF.  I like to save mine in a specific folder so I can easily find it when I am making my video’s.

Bonus Tip

Make sure you put your website on in your intro as well.  I also leave the audio off of the intro because I usually have background audio in my video’s and I want them to be consistent.
