Organize your Poop Bags!
Do you have too many grocery bags lying around or maybe you use them to pick up poop while walking your MuttButs. I found a great way to keep them organized and out of the way!
I start with an empty tissue box. The pretty colored ones look nice too! I gather up all of my plastic bags that have handles. However, I have been accumulating less and less of them because I have my reusable shopping bags I take with me. I still manage to have some lying around. I’ve tried putting them in the bags that hang up, but when I pull one out, usually 2 or 3 bags come falling out!
I take out 2 bags and thread one through the handles of the other, pulling that bag into a V shape. I stuff them in the empty tissue box with the handles sticking out of the top and then thread another bag through those handles.
Sounds a little convoluted, but check out my picture and you will see what I mean. You keep threading the bags and stuffing them into the tissue box until it is full. I really pack them in tight and you can get lots in there!
When you are ready to use a bag, you pull it out and the next one comes up and is ready to use – just like tissues!!

Poop Bags can Thwart Identity Thieves!
While I’m on the topic of poop bags, I also want to give you a tip if you get mail that needs to be shredded, but don’t have a shredder. Tear the mail up and place it in the bottom of your poop bag. I suspect that most identity thieves will look through trash that isn’t covered in doggy poop!!
Your MuttButs should be Responsible Poopers!
Don’t forget my carabiner tip! I tie a knot in the middle of the leash and put a carabiner in the knot. You can then tie the full poop bags on the carabiner so you don’t have to carry it. It easily slides off to throw away after your walk.
Bonus Tip:
I love saving time and money, it means that I have more time to spend with my MuttButs and more money to spend on them too! One of the things that I really dislike doing because of the wasted time is grocery shopping. I discovered that Walmart has a program where you can order groceries online, pick them up and they even load your car for you. It’s a Free service and huge time saver. If you want to try it, use my referral link and get $10 OFF your first order!!

I’m going to take a picture later of what our poop bags look like in this huge bin downstairs – it’s total chaos. I’ll try this over the weekend – I need to create some order of these bags and this is such a great DIY idea. As soon as I saw the headline I got excited! 🙂 Yes about poop bags. Thanks!

LOL! I get excited about poop bags too 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it. Mine were a mess too until I used this tip to organize them.

I love your tip for threading the grocery bags together and then putting them in a Kleenex box. We have too many plastic bags every where… I am going to have to try that. 🙂

The tissue box threading idea is cool! I would’ve never thought of that, and I just crushed a tissue box for recycling. 🙁 Next one, though!
